Elizabeth Arden skincare … worth the price tag??
Hi, all welcome back to my blog I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe, iv been busy the last few weeks I welcomed two new puppies so iv been getting them settled in, I think ill do a separate post about that I’m so in love with them, but back to today’s topic which is high-end skincare! I have been trying some different brands to see if they’re really worth your money. I’m spending mine so you can save yours. Elizabeth Arden is a big brand name over here. Products are expensive so I picked up a few items that were on a “must try” recommended list I came across. I picked up travel size products which as you know is what I like to do if I’m trying something new, there’s nothing worse than spending a fortune on products and it not work for you or you have a bad reaction and you’re left out of pocket with a product you can’t use so travel size is cheaper and you can test before investing. I’m going to go through the product below and tell you what I think.
Elizabeth Arden- Eight hour cream skin protection
This is an Elizabeth Arden staple its a skincare classic, it calms and prevents dry and chapped skin, calms roughness, redness, and small skin irritations, protects and moisturizes. And it may do all these things but I couldn’t get past the smell, as soon as I opened the lid it was so strong I didn’t think I would be able to use it, I certainly couldn’t go out with it on the smell was so strong, and it’s not like heavy fragrance it’s clinical it’s like a strong medical cream. I ended up trying it on my feet at night I just used a small amount it was really soft and moisturizing, I put it on with some night socks and my feet were really smooth and soft the next morning. but that’s all I would use it for because of the scent.
Elizabeth Arden- ceramides – lift and firm day cream with spf 30
This is a thick creamy moisturizer that tightens and firms skin with a high SPF 30, I love a good sunscreen in my moisturizer!! I don’t have anything negative to say about this product its a really good moisturizer with an SPF, but could I find a similar one for a fraction of the price… yes! it’s great but I wouldn’t say it’s changed my skin or its a must-have beauty product, its a really good moisturize with SPF, if it’s in your budget you’ll love it if it’s not in your budget I have a list of day moisturizes less expensive that will do the same thing.
Elizabeth Arden- Advanced ceramide capsules- daily youth restoring serum
These little capsules have enough product for one application in each, they help strengthen and restore skin’s moisture barrier for a visually smoother, firmer, and more youthful appearance. I so wanted to love this product but it just didn’t work for me. It felt more like oil than a serum and it just sat on my skin it didn’t absorb. it reminded me of how a blurring primer sits on the skin, it just felt greasy on my face and I didn’t see any difference in my skin after using it consistently. I wouldn’t recommend this product it’s really pricey and I don’t think it’s worth it to be brutally honest.
Elizabeth Arden- Purifying cream cleanser
The purifying cleanser gently dissolves makeup and impurities leaving skin feeling smooth cleansed and refreshed. This product I love it’s my new go-to for removing makeup it’s really gentle you can massage into your eyelids and remove your eye makeup and mascara it’s amazing, I use this to remove makeup as a pre cleanser then I do my normal cleansing routine. I would highly recommend this you can say goodbye to them morning after panda eye with this cleanser!!
