Selfcare during lockdown.. 🧘‍♀️

Hi, all welcome back to my blog I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. It’s Tuesday and I’m still not sure how long this lockdown is going to go on for it doesn’t look to be easing anytime soon. Were 3 months in as of today so I wanted to share some tips iv been using to get through the anxiety that comes with this type of situation that I could never imagine would happen in my lifetime. I’m sure there are others around the world who are still in my situation so I want to share a few things that iv been doing since the first lockdown which was March of 2020.

This is our second full lockdown and this time around I’m more focused on my mental health, last year was more focused on getting back in shape and strong after surgery so I was staying home anyway, now I feel great but life is still on hold so I found it important to be proactive with mental health as well as physical.

I find yoga really helpful, last year I found a program on youtube that’s called couch to confident 14-day yoga challenge with Julia maria that I fell in love with. their short routines you do everyday, each day is different it’s relaxing and just a great activity for your mental and physical health. I feel my body is stronger, I’m more flexible and I have better balance the longer I’m doing it. Most importantly for me, it’s a great stress reliever and helps me manage the lockdown anxiety I’ve been having.

Its a 14day program and each day you’re challenged a little more, I do it in the mornings it a great way to start the day it really elevates my mood and some evening I’ll do the less challenging routines before bed I find it helps me just wind, feel more relaxed and sleep better.
