What’s next……Writing, Wrestling & work

IMG_9505BE MAN OR WOMEN ENOUGH ….       to face your fears, say what you want….. If you don’t go after it you’ll never have it …….. don’t live with what if’s or regret.

Hi, all welcome back to my blog, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Around this time last year, I did a reflection post about my past year so I decided to do it again, I sat down yesterday to write this and really didn’t know where to start! lol, So it may ramble a little but bare with me! lol, I get there!

What’s next!? ….. Where do I start here …

It has been an amazing year a lot of highs but just as many lows! But I feel the lows are what make you stronger and wiser, its how you learn and grow and you can take a lot of positives away from that. The highs were great but don’t last long are your just chasing the next. What I have taken from this is no matter what I do and achieve and the highs and lows that come from it at the end of the day it’s not real life, real life is the people I’m around and the time I get to enjoy with them and  my family that’s the most important thing. We all go home at the end of the day and that’s when real life begins.

The best thing I feel iv done this year is developing my mental health awareness series on here, iv really enjoyed doing it its why I start this blog to raise awareness and give back and I feel iv done that and ill continent to do that this year.

What most of you don’t know is that I also wrestle, I know that might come as a surprise its something iv loved since I was 5 years old and my brother introduced it to me and I was hooked. This year I had my debut match which was a high for me it was an amazing experience, the support, advise and encouragement from my coaches and my opponent was amazing and I’m so very grateful for them, it made it such a great experience I can’t  wait to do it again. I loved every minute of it. I’m very excited for this year in wrestling and getting in the ring more.

What iv learned for me is to stay positive and tune out the white noise. A lot of negativity can come at you especially when you put yourself out there as a blogger and it’s important not to let it get in on you or stop you from doing what it is you love. I found my coping mechanism is to retreat a little and not let people close, I shut down in a way, I’m there but not really, I know it can come off as cold to people and its something I am working on. It’s that old saying “once you get burned it’s a long time before you get close to the fire again.” It’s so true!! but this year its something to work on, I always strive to be the best version of myself.

My way of thinks has always been the same I got it from my very wise momma a long time ago and in the years when I was dealing with my mental health it really hit home, that’s to ‘Treat people how you would like to be treated” you never know what goes on in people’s lives and it so true. Never judge a person based on another person’s opinion. It doesn’t matter what you choose to do in your life, once your happy.

Iv had a lot of support on this blog for my writing and I’m so very grateful for everyone who took the time to come on a read my work, I hope it will grow this year and I can raise more awareness and share story that you enjoy.

Thank you
