Intermittent fasting journey
Hi all welcome back to my blog I hope everyone is staying safe and having a great week, this post is more of a personal story, it’s part of my recovery journey I guess. since January when I was going through my health issues I was having some side effects that were effection eating and my digestion. I had a tumor that was taking up half my stomach, I was struggling with digestion and having issues with my stomach and gut.
After doing a little research I came across intermittent fasting which is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. I thought this would be a good fit for me to give my body time to digest my food. I started doing this a few months ago, I use the 16/8 method which means I eat for 8 hours and fast for 16 hours and I have to say it has made a huge difference for me. I eat from 9 am- 5 pm and I fast from there. I just feel like my body is functioning much better I still take wheatgrass shouts twice a day alone with a lot of supplements for my immune system and the combination has made me feel so much better, I’m able to eat more and not feel sick or full, for a while I wasn’t eating 600-700 calories a day and I was feeling sick and full like I’d overeaten but I knew I wasn’t getting enough food in, now I get 3 good meals in a day with a snack and I feel great, I’m getting in all my calories, I feel like my body and digestive system is getting back to normal. It just worked really well for me.
