Hi, all welcome back to my blog I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I’m reviewing the sculpted by Aimee Connolly primer and foundation today, I’ve heard so many great things about this foundation and the brand I’ve been dying to give it a try. It’s an Irish makeup brand so always happy to support my own. The foundation cost €27 and the primer was €24.99 which I think is a great price point, it can be found in the drug store here in Ireland but the quality and packaging feel more higher-end than a regular “drug store” foundation. They have a whole range of products that I’ve heard great things about I really want to try their concealer and setting spray but they were out of stock at my local drug store. when I do get them I’ll do a follow-up post. I’m going to go through the details of each product as usual and tell you how they worked for me.
I’m going to start with the sculpted by Aimee beauty base golden glow primer. This is an all-in-one moisturizing primer, it contains SPF 30 and hyaluronic acid which I love! I love a primer that has great skin benefits especially because I do have acne-prone skin when products have really good ingredients I don’t need to worry about breaking out. This is also great to wear alone, you have the spf30, it’s really hydrating and moisturizing, and the golden tint makes your skin look really glowing and radiance if you wanted to have a no-makeup day. Under the foundation, it really glows through and makes your foundation look brighter and hydrated. It also comes in the shade pearl glow.
The Sculpted by Aimee’s second skin dewy foundation also comes in matte, it’s not just a great medium to buildable coverage foundation that looks natural and glowing it also has many skin benefits!! Firstly it contains spf50, it’s 100% mineral-based, it contains antioxidants and collagen. lavender oil to calm the skin and aloe vera to soothe the skin, It’s hypoallergenic and has no artificial fragrance. For me, I always check everything in the products that I put on my skin because I have acne-prone skin and it is very sensitive and prone to flare-ups so when I saw what was in this foundation I just knew my skin would be safe!! It gives great coverage, stays in place, looks really natural and I would highly recommend it if you are on the lookout for a new foundation it worked really well for me and my skin type.
