Sweet Sunday- peanut butter french toast
Hi, all welcome back to my blog and sweet Sunday, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Sweet Sunday is here again! I went a little different this week I really wanted a fun breakfast recipe to try, the only other time I have a treat breakfast is around Christmas when I have pandoro bread!! So I had a look around for something good and I wanted to incorporate some of my favorite ingredients, I decided on peanut butter, its a great source of protein and I’m addicted to it!lol
So this week is a twist on a classic, no baking required this week! Its peanut butter french toast! Its a quick and easy recipe anybody could follow if you love peanut butter you’ll love this! I’m going to go through the ingredients and how-tos below, I hope you enjoy and try it yourself!
All You Need:
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- ½ cup milk
- 3 eggs ( beaten)
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- oatmeal& linseed loaf ( 4 slices)
- 2 tbsp peanut butter & 2 tbsp raspberry jam
- whipped cream, 2 strawberries & 1 banana to decorate ( sliced)
In a medium bowl add the peanut butter & milk and whisk till combined, add in the eggs, cinnamon & vanilla till well combined.
Take 2 slices of the oatmeal loaf spread peanut butter on one piece and jam on the other to make a sandwich. Do the with the other slices.
Heat your pan and spread it with cooking spray. Dipped the sandwich into the wet mixture, turn it over till it covered, when the pan is heated plan the sandwich onto the pan, keep turning it till it’s golden brown on both sides, serve with cream and fruit.
