Murad Brighten kit Review!!
Hi, all welcome back to my blog I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I have so many skin care product reviews to share with you I feel like I’m playing catch up. This product I purchased in December 2020 and I used it for about a month and I’m only getting around to writing this post now! It’s just been crazy but I’m catching up with myself now I hope you enjoy it.
Murad skincare is a brand that I’ve used before, I’ve reviewed a few products for acne-prone skin that I loved, I’ll link that post below if you want to check it out. Murad is a higher price point for a drugstore brand but the few products I’ve tried have been worth it.
This Murad brighten system/ treatment I wanted to try is really expensive to buy if you’re buying full-size products you have to buy them separately so I found this trial kit on sale. I’ve said this many times when I’m trying new products, especially if they’re expensive I will always look for travel-size products or trial sets/ gift sets just to try them out and see if they work well for my skin and don’t causes irritation at least your not wasting product or your money. It’s the best way of trying before you buy.
This brightening kit targets hyperpigmentation & dull skin. It works to minimize dark spots giving you a smoother brighter complexion, evening-out skin tone. I’m going to go through the four products in the kit, what they do and how they did or didn’t work for me.
MURAD ENVIRONMENT SHIELD- ESSENTIAL- C CLEANSER
This antioxidant-rich cleanser using vitamins A, C, and E to neutralize and rehydrate environmentally damaged skin by removing impurities and awakening the sense with a burst of citrus. personally, I couldn’t use this every day I found my skin got a little irritated I have found my skin does react this way when I use a vitamin c serum, I can only use it on alternative days that is what worked for me. It does give a fresh smooth clean feeling. It does brighten the complexion.
MURAD ENVIRONMENTAL SHEILD – VITA-C DARK CIRCLE EYE CORRECTOR
This serum fights the look of dark circles and reduces puffiness. I for some reason can’t use eye creams or serums there are very few that don’t cause irritation and redness, I couldn’t use this serum daily, I used it occasionally and just a very small amount so it wouldn’t cause irritation but not enough to really see a difference. to be honest tea bags on the eyes for about 20 minutes are the only thing that works for me and it is very inexpensive.
MURAD ENVIRONMENT SHIELD – RAPID AGE SPOT CORRECTOR SERUM
This serum works to reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation, evens out skin tone, with boosts of glycolic acid to slough away dead and dull skin cells. I really loved how this serum left my skin looking and feeling it almost leave a glow to the skin, it brightens and really evens out skin tone and didn’t irritate my skin.
MURAD ESSENIAL- C DAY MOISTURE BROAD SPECTRUM SPF30 PA+++
An antioxidant-rich sunscreen that restores environmentally stressed skin. This worked well for me it was a great base for my foundation and didn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts or irritation. I wouldn’t repurchase just because there is a lot of great sunscreens that do the same thing without irritating my skin that isn’t so expensive.
