DIY ACNE TREATMENT!!

Hi, all welcome back to my blog I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe, so I’ve said before I really enjoyed doing the lockdown DIY skincare posts so I’m continuing I’m going to try doing one post a week I love doing the research I’m always amazed at how many amazing skincare treatments and benefits I can find that are 100% natural sitting in my kitchen cupboards!! I’ve done a lot of masks over lockdown and as you can tell from the title this is more of a treatment but you can apply it like a mask or just on the areas that you need it. I have acne-prone skin that can flare up out of nowhere which is just great! I found this little acne treatment about a week ago and I’ve been applying it every day and I can tell you it’s amazing!! It’s working for me and really reducing the inflammation I’ve been experiencing lately.

The secret ingredient to my skin clearing up is “ASPIRIN” !! Aspirin has an active ingredient acetylsalicylic acid which is similar to salicylic acid, a common anti-inflammatory ingredient in many skin care products.

The anti-inflammatory properties reduce the redness and swelling associated with pimples. The substance also has a drying effect helping to counteract oily skin.

I use 1tsp to 1 aspirin ratio, let the aspirin dissolve into a paste you can apply to the whole face or just the affected areas, I just used it on the area I needed. You leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water and pat dry. It really calms the skin.

Thank you so much for checking out my blog I really appreciate it and I hope you’re enjoying the content, leave me comments and let me know what you think. if you would like blog updates please subscribe. xx Paula xx
