Sweet Sunday- chocolate cookies
Hi all, welcome back to my blog and sweet Sunday. I’m going back to basics with this weeks recipe, its a classic. I think everyone will have the ingredients at hand in your cupboards there quiet and easy to wipe up, there a bit hit in my house. This week I baked chocolate cookies. I like to bake my own cookies because I like to know exactly whats going into what I’m eating. Homemade chocolate cookie with vanilla ice cream is one of my favorite cheat day treats!! Like I said this is a simple recipe only 4 ingredients really easy to prepare. I hope you enjoy this one and give it a go yourself.
All You Need:
- 2 Cups Self Raising flour
- ¼ Cup cocoa powder
- 250g unsalted butter
- ½ cup caster sugar
Preheat your oven to 170℃ and prepare your cookie trays with baking paper and set aside.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder in a bowl and set aside. Cream together the butter and caster sugar till light and pale, add the dry mixture and mix together till it forms a dough.
Take a tablespoon amount of the dough, roll it into balls and place them on the baking tray, when you’ve done this use a fork to flatten slightly. bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
