Baking Saturday: Walnut and chocolate chip cookies
Hi all, Welcome back to sweet Sunday, I hope everyone had a great week.I’ve been super busy with work and life I don’t seem to have a minute lately to myself. I’m trying to manage my time better with all the new responsibilities.I’m so happy to get some time to myself to do some baking and writing its my time to relax and unwind.Now that was into December ill be sharing some Christmas recipes,a few the I make every year the week before Christmas so I’m excited to share them with you.
This week I baked walnut & chocolate chip cookies.I love these, baking with walnuts is my favorite things.With this recipe, you can substitute walnuts with pecans or hazelnut, whatever is your preference you can make it your own. This is a pretty simple recipe to follow I hope you enjoy and try it yourself.
All you need:
- 125g butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1½ cups plain flour
- 1½ cups chocolate chips or chunks
- 1½ walnuts chopped
Start by preheating your oven to 190℃ and prepared to cookie trays with baking paper, this recipe makes 20 cookies.
Use an electric whisk to beat together the butter and sugar until combined, add the egg to the mixture and beat till combined.
Sift the flour into the mixture and stir with a wooden spoon till combined.Add the chocolate chips and walnuts and stir till combined.
Use your hand to roll up a tablespoon of the cookie dough into a ball and place on the cookie tray. use a fork to press down slightly.
Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown and set aside to cool.
