Happy Sunday everyone!! hope you all had a great week!! this week I’ve pulled out an old favorite recipe of mine that always reminds me of my nanna ginny who loved to cook and bake, I have so many childhood memories of her in the kitchen. Now when I’m baking the smell reminds me of her so much.

This week I baked apple and cinnamon squares, they’re so good hot or cold I love them with ice-cream!! I really hope you enjoy this one

All you need is:

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 13/4 Tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples (peeled and sliced)

Preheat your oven to 170℃ and line a medium size loaf pan with baking paper and put aside.

Firstly combined the brown sugar and cinnamon, stir and set aside. In a separate bowl beat together the sugar and butter till creamy and smooth, beat in the eggs one at a time till combined.Next stir in the vanilla.

Add the flour and baking powder to the wet mixture and stir till combined, add the milk and stir till the batter is creamy.
