Staying Positive and Healthy

Struggling with mental health issues is an everyday battle.There isn’t a quick fix, no antibiotic you can take to make it go away.You just have to take it day by day.The way people treat you is a reflection of their character, not yours.I find it so important to remind myself of that fact, It really helps me control how I react to situations, when you’re really anxious it brings you down it changes your mood, you tend to take everything in in a negative way.It makes you feel unsure of yourself. When you’re in that mindset the way people treat you or interact with you can sometimes reinforce what your feeling. Some days it takes that internal dialogue to reassure and ground me to keep me from falling.

It’s quite frightening when you’re in the situation where you need to check yourself and push the negative thoughts and feelings aside, but it’s also really empowering.

Sometimes you fall a few steps back, it happens, but when you get back up and push yourself forward you find you’re stronger than you were before.It’s another triumph, not a failure.
